Write and illustrate your own book! Your original story and drawings are made into a typeset, hardback book. Illustory is a multi-award winning kit that allows you to be a published author. Your typeset, professionally produced book will be a keepsake you and your family will treasure forever. Extra reproductions of your book make wonderful personalized gifts, especially for grandparents. Your story can either be sent to Creations By You by mail or created online. The Internet Production gives you tools to make drawings online and include stickers and backgrounds. You can even upload a photo for the About the Author page or upload scanned drawings and photos for your Story Pages (extra charge applies). The IlluStory kit includes special book and cover pages, washable markers, easy instructions, order form, and a postage-paid envelope to send the materials for production. Your kit price includes on finished book. Production is completed 3 to 4 weeks after receipt of your materials plus delivery time. The finished book is 7 x 9 inches. We ordered this Illustory for our older child several years ago and she loved it, though honestly, she got stuck on getting it just right and we have yet to send it in. We still have the kit, and are hoping that getting one for her younger brother will inspire her to get it in as well as encourage our 2nd grader to create his own story. Great gift for variety of ages.

I bought this product to create a book for my granddaughter. [We opted to complete Illustory online.] I found editing the pages frustrating. I created a text for a page with a picture and the prompt said to shorten the text or use a smaller font. I made the font miniscule and it still wouldn't accept it. I changed the content and it remembered the original text. I ended up deleting all the text for that page and creating a photo page instead. Other than that it's a great idea.
