Too Hard for Toddlers

My one year old son was initially interested and understood that you are supposed to hit the balls so they can get rolling. Sadly you need a lot of pressure to get the balls through the holes , even an adult needs two or three good pounds. Now my son just sticks random objects through the sides to see if they will roll down... The quality of material is very good, (that thing will outlive a nuclear war), colours a bit on the basic side.
Enjoyable, but Durable?

I bought the Pound and Roll Tower for my 17 month old son. It took him a little while to figure out how to pound on the balls himself. At first, he just liked putting the balls in the holes and having us pound them. Once he figured out that he could do it too, he really whacked away at it. My only concern is that within a few hours the wood on the top already had many dents from the hammer. The balls also dented. After a few weeks, the balls have flecks of paint missing from them. Thankfully it has not seemed to splinter or have any pieces break off. I also notice that the head of the hammer is coming a little loose too. That being said, he still plays with it from time to time. He really gets into hitting it. We have to watch our fingers if we put the balls back on. We also use the balls separately. Maybe if your child didn't hit it as hard, the denting would not be a factor.
Great Toy!

My 1 1/2 year old received this from Santa for Christmas and instantly loved it! He sits and play with it often. Highly recommend!

Product is well made. A little smaller than it seemed on the web, but that is okay. My granddaughter loves it. And I can't keep my teenager from hitting the balls down. So Bravo!

I bought this for my 18-month-old grandson. This makes lots of noise and creates a lot of reaction from him. He loves it.
